Ā
Candle wax remembers the burn radius of its last burn. If you burn your candle for 30 minutes andĀ the melted waxĀ doesn't reach the edge, it will remember. For this reason, we recommend that you allow your melted wax to reach the edge of your candle container.Ā
Burn your candle for a minimum of 1 hour, and no more than 4 hours.Ā We also recommend allowing your candle to cool for at least two hours before relighting.Ā
Below areĀ additional tips from the National Candle Association that you should follow toĀ help ensure a safe andĀ pleasant candle burning experience.
- Before burning, always trim the wick to ¼ inch. You can use a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or scissors. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning, dripping or flaring.
- Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.
- Extinguish all candles when leaving a room or before going to sleep.Ā Be sure the wick ember is no longer glowing.
